Fitness and athleticism have always been a large part of my life, coming from a background of competitive swimming and volleyball. I’ve always had a strong passion for excelling in all that I do, but especially in regards to fitness activities. I began extensive weight training in January of 2012, exactly 1 year after having my daughter.

During my pregnancy I gained a vast amount of weight, 65lbs to be exact, due to having a high risk pregnancy and not eating the way I should have been or staying active due to the fear of complications. The weight piled on and I became extremely unhealthy physically. After my pregnancy I lost approximately 40lbs by changing my diet, but really didn’t get in the habit of exercising the way I needed to in order to really get my body back into shape. Come January 2012 I began working out at a local gym with a personal trainer - whom introduced me further into weight lifting, proper form and taught me how to truly push myself. Immediately I fell in love.

In January 2013 I decided that I wanted to enter in an NPC Bikini competition and began prepping for my first show that took place in May of 2013. I competed in two regional shows and then earned my ProCard at my third National show in August 2014 at the North American Championships. Throughout the entire experience I learned more about myself than I ever thought I could, challenged myself to new extremes and found a love for fitness that I didn’t know even existed. From this, my goal has been to spread the message of really allowing yourself to achieve any obstacles in life in order to obtain your goals, as well as being able to show my daughter the ins and outs of true determination, hard work and faith.

I absolutely love to help people turn fitness into their passion by not only leading by example, but having fun while doing so. I truly believe that no day is worth living unless a laugh is present at least once throughout that day and incorporating that in my fitness endeavors is just as important to me as staying fit. It’s all about overall health and happiness.
